Well today we were planning to go to the Magic House, we never ended up making it though because Becca and I were getting pictures of the kids taken. What was a one hour thing turned out to be 3 hours. At the end the kids were so sleepy and well a bit of a pain so we got them home and in bed so they could sleep. But the baby is so cute.... Also Curt was asked to be his brothers best man ( congrats), and so we have been staying up writing a speech and planning the stag party. Curt is planning to have a bonfire on Huntington Beach! Fun huh.

So my brother in law asked me to do the flowers for his up coming wedding ...( all except the bridal bouquet) the flowers they want to go with are lilies and roses, here is one of the just messing around pieces that I did to see what they think. It is just roses but I added pearl and rhinestone accents that I made myself. For the wedding so far our floral list is 11 boutonnieres, 9 corsages, 2 bridesmaid bouquets, and of course something cute for Mady.

First Family Vacation

We went to Branson, MO with our the Armstrong in laws early November and we had so much fun. Mady and Emmett went on their first train ride and saw their first magic show. We stayed at Stillwater condos on one of the lakes it was our first experience with Mady having a real bed and we were so happy by how well she did with it. It was nice to have a practice run before the bigger/longer family vacation in December in LA.
Other news most of my Christmas shopping is done only 3 people left. Also my wedding ring fits again well it is a little tight still but my finger isn't turning blue yet so....hooray for me!

Birth Story

We set our appointment to get induced when I went to the doctors on the 6Th and it was the third week that we had seen no progress and the baby was still high up. We were planning on getting started on Cervidil for 12 hours and then in the morning Pitocin.
So at 8pm on Sunday October 12Th I waddled into the hospital, my hair and make up looking great. We had to enter from the ER because of the hour, when we went and checked in I told the women that we were here to have a baby, she kinda started to flip ( long and busy evening already). I told her I was just getting induced and she felt better right away.
We got to room 204 at about 8:05 introduced to our great nurse Lee, who would be there for us through this whole thing. I changed my clothing from my jeans and shirt to a tank top and skirt because I thought I had 12 hours to sleep and well write my thank you cards for all the wonderful gifts we have gotten. (I don't really like hospital gowns and I wanted to be comfy while I slept). I hopped into bed and we got the monitors hooked up, we were only having irregular contractions so we went on with plans, I had to get an IV put in and blood work done (I didn't think I was going to have to deal with that till morning so I kinda started freaking out...I hate needles) It took about 15 min and a few tries to get the IV in then we had to get my blood drawn from my other arm which for 2 little tubes took about 20 min, I bleed slowly I guess. After that the house ob came in to insert the Cervidil. Well when the nurse checked me I was at 3cm so she was thinking they would just do the Pitocin but since the Cervidil was already opened (I guess it was really expensive or something so they didn't want to waste it) they went ahead and went with the original plan. It hurt getting in because it has to go behind your cervix's. But I thought well this is the last of it till morning so I can handle it. About 20 minutes later the nurse come rushing in we thought it was nothing, but evidently the baby was having problems with his heart rate since the cervidil was put in and well the heart rate monitor thought it would play with the nurse and so it stopped working. After a moment of her freaking out, they fixed the problem and saw that the baby was still having trouble with his heart rate. She took out the cervidil as fast as possible and called in the house OB to help. The baby was still having a few problems so they wanted to break my water and put the internal monitor on his head. The Doctor mentioned that in that 20 min I had went from 2-3cm to 5cm so she didn't think I needed Pitocin and that with breaking my water everything should keep progressing on its own. From 9:30 to about 11 I was taking the contractions as they came, I was in pain but I wanted to waited a bit longer to get the epidural. At about midnight I had had enough, I had planned on getting some sleep not thinking I was going to be having my baby so soon and I wasn't really relaxed and prepared to got through this naturally. So I got my epidural when I was about a 7 and it didn't hurt that bad getting the needle in, but while getting it my right leg started getting sharp pains pulsing through it which the doctor didn't really worry about so we put the drugs in everything got better on my right leg. Thinking okay now I won't have any pain I wanted to get some sleep. But after the 20 min window of when the meds should have started working I was still feeling my contractions on 3/4 of my body. They had me lay on my left side to even out the med's. That still didn't work. They put more medicine in, still nothing. by this time I was is a ton of pain and feeling sick because I had a screwed up epidural in my screwed up back and well the doctor wanted to try and move the epi catheter around to see if it helped. He tore the tape of and played with the tube then re taped it in place. He then gave me more meds, the contractions became less intense so I slept off and on as they came and went. Then the got worse again very quickly, they hurt so bad that I had the doctor come and do the freaking epidural all over again. I was in so much pain. For the third round of my Epidural I was bawling leaned up in a sitting position against my husband having insanely strong contractions because they had started the pitocin (the baby's heart rate kept dropping and they needed him to come out). the contractions I had in the 10 min of sitting up were so strong I went from a 8 to 10 and they said I was already to push, thankfully the epi was semi working on my left side. The nurse called my doctor and started having me practice pushing. The pushing was okay, for about 20 min then the feeling came back in 3/4Th of my body. My OB was finally here and said the baby as face up so this could take awhile, so she went out while I continued practice pushing... after a bit more the nurse could she the babies head so she had me stop...ouch by the way. The baby was born a bit after at 4:50 am. I had a 2 degree tear which I could feel her sewing up while the baby was off to the side getting looked over because of the way he came out. I finally got to hold him a bit later, and felt much better. He looks like his daddy....On Monday I felt great even put on my make up (pic above with me is about noon on Mon). Since then though I have gotten slowly worse because of the issues with my epidural. The right side of my body is in pain, enough that I may be heading to the ER to get it looked at in about a hour. So well his birth was nothing like my first...But after all of my pain and worries about having a little boy. I couldn't love him more. He is so cute. And yes the first baby boy diaper I changed he peed on me...it ended up being really funny though because he also got Mady and she started freaking out and crying. So I was just laughing my butt off.

Really, oh come on!

So yesterday my nightmare came true... I have waited 6 years to register to vote for one reason only. This year I thought well why not it is important and well it seems like the right time. So I registered.... Then yesterday I went out and got my mail and I got the letter, the one that stopped me from signing up for 6 years. Jury Duty. I laughed my butt off. I mean come on. Great timing huh!

How much to bail out.

Based on the U.S. Census Bureau's estimate of the current population of about 305 million people, each person would have to pay $2,300 to fund the $700,000,000,000. If each American (including children) paid a dollar a day, it would take more than six years to pay the money in full. One might argue, however, that this $700 billion would be a modest splash in the bucket of national debt, which already stands at well over $9 trillion (which means you already owe $31,642 each).

The past

Ohh look how cute, I think I remember what a curling iron and make up are just not how to use them any more. This week I have been thinking about what it may be like trying to shower and get ready with two kids that need my help, kinda scary. Can't make up my mind about cutting hair, or just wear ponytails till the end of time. My sweet hubby said he wouldn't mind if I just went out and got it colored and stuff but he likes it long...so I need something long, hot and well "mommy worthy". Any idea's?

Eviction Notice to Baby

Baby Boy,
Tenant has _17___ days in which he can either gather his belongings and vacate the premises, or wait until the final day. After which he will be physically removed from the property. He is being evicted due to a breech of contract and destruction of property. Expansions only to the front of the property, within reasonable limits, were discussed. Not only have these limits been exceeded, but additions to the back of the property were also made. Remodeling and gutting the property was never approved, nor was changing the initial layout and base structure. And due to property damage, there are now leaks in both upper and lower levels of the property. Also, late night parties have been discovered on the property and are not greatly appreciated! Any further problems will result in immediate removal!

My Week

Well last week I got this text message from my ex, he had just decided that he wanted to come visit....and was in fact already here. So trying to be nice I put on a happy face and got through the week. Curt had to work so it was just Mady, me and the ex for 9 hours a day. We went to the zoo and did a few other touristy things. But I was really ready for him to leave ....I think one more minute and I would have lost it.

On Wednesday Curt and I got to see the baby again it is crazy how much he has grown. The doctor thinks he is about four lbs. right now, so right on in weight....although his head was measuring big....so that might hurt. The doctor wants me to have him looked at closer to my due date to see if he has moved in to position(he is laying side ways) and is still around the right weight. So all is good with the baby. I feel the opposite though. This week my blood pressure shot up and I have had the worst pains in my head and lower body....humm I wonder if it has anything to do with having to put up with my ex this past week!
Church wise I am almost to the point of just going in my jeans....I have looked for a dress at least a dozen times and I am just about to give up. The guilt of missing church is out weighing my pride of not showing up in my jeans.

Mady turned 3 on Monday, we had a nice little party for her. Thanks for all the wonderful gifts, she has had so much fun with all of them. I will post some pic's soon. I took her out to get birthday photo's on Thursday, so cute. Still can't believe that my little girl is three though....I feel so old.

Curt got a promotion at work a few weeks ago. I am so proud of all his hard work! With the ex here it has made me remember how grateful I am for my sweet little family that I have and how wonderful my husband is.

See you all later.... Jenn

baby stuff

Sorry I might never finish info about my trip....It was fun though and Curt and my favorite places were Switzerland and Venice, Italy. Most of you know my feelings about Madrid and the bull fighting though so I won't tell you again. I am in Utah for the next week or so, it has been nice to have a break, but I also miss my family. I went to the Twin Falls temple open house yesterday it was very nice. It was my first time walking through the entire temple at one time. Thought I would post some pic's of what has been going on in the babies nursery. So here you go. This is the baby bedding.

BABY INFO
so we know what the baby is....IT'S A BOY!
We are getting nursery idea's and other info posted soon.

In Paris we saw all the fun sights. I loved when the Eiffel Tower started sparkling. We walked around a lot and had a picnic on the river, went and bought some pastry's at a local bakery and hung out on St Louis Island. That night we went up in the Eiffel tower and saw the sun set it was amazing. Then we packed and got ready to leave for Interlaken, Switzerland the next day. That night we set up a wake up call for 5am because our train left around 7am. We woke up around 7:30 because we never got a wake up call. As we rushed out and ran to see if we could get on another train we found out that our tickets were non refundable and we had to pay 300 euros more to leave town. After that bullet to the heart we ran to catch our train. Sadly we didn't get to sit together. But when we finally arrived in Switzerland we loved it. It was so green and beautiful. We went up into the mountains had fondue and just absolutely loved it. We also had the cutest hotel. After our two days there we went off to Venice. Which I will tell you about later.

April 17th: Plane trip to Paris
Well the day started pretty well we got to the airport in time. But when up at check in all the problems started well a few I guess. The guy at check in took 30 minutes to figure out if my passport was still valid to be used. I have my maiden name on it but my ticket was issued in my sky miles name which is Jensen. so I had to bring my old marriage cert and divorce decree. I didn't even other explaining the current last name. Thankfully I called before hand and told them all this or they would have ended the trip for me before it began. On our way through security we had the same problem. In order to sort it out they marked the ticket as a situation #5 and sent we to a security point to have everything gone through and my personal space invaded. After all that another lady comes over going I have no idea why you were marked as a 5 you had everything you needed and if you didn't it still would have been a 7 bot 5. So after all that we finally get to our plane. Get on and we ready to go only to find out the plane was having a problem. Finally 1 1/2 hours later we were off. I totally thought we would never get there. But we did. Found the train to our hotel fine and then wondered the streets a bit to finally find the hotel. By this time we really needed some sleep. Next day to come later.

For the crazy fan in us

BREAKING DAWN WILL RELEASE ON AUGUST 2, 2008
The wait is over. At 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, August 2, 2008, Little, Brown Books for Young Readers, a division of Hachette Book Group USA, will release the most anticipated novel of the year — Breaking Dawn, it was announced today by Megan Tingley, the division's Senior Vice President and Publisher. The fourth and final book in Stephenie Meyer's #1 international bestselling Twilight Saga will be available in a hardcover edition for $22.99/$23.99 Can.
I HATE DELTA AIRLINES!
So for the 13th time I am trying to fix the mess that delta has made with our ticket to Europe.
I picked our flights so Curt and I could have exit row seats. I was so happy. So each time I log on to my delta account I find that the seats have changed...So I call and fix them. After the fourth time changing seats you kind of want to kill someone. Yesterday I called to make sure the seats were the same because knowing them I was going to have to fix it again. WELL the flight to Paris was canceled all in all. We were never told! I would have went to the airport only to find out that our whole trip to Europe was screwed up. So after all this you think someone would sit for a second and listen to your complaint. NOPE FAT CHANCE. The guy went and picked a flight that he thought looked the best and stuck us on it. There was two other flights that had exit row seats open. You think after all the trouble to have exit row seat, that we would want a flight that offered them. Evidently not. I called later and got another person that did get us exit row seats on another flight. But our flight from Madrid was also messed with over time and she couldn't get us in exit row seats....
Sorry Just Needed To Yell A Little Bit.

Would yours win?

THE NEXT SURVIVOR SERIES Six married men will be dropped on an island with one car and 3 kids each for six weeks. Each kid will play two sports and either take music or dance classes. There is no fast food. Each man must take care of his 3 kids; keep his assigned house clean, correct all homework, and complete science projects, cook, do laundry, and pay a list of "pretend" bills with not enough money. In addition, each man will have to budget in money for groceries each week. Each man must remember the birthdays of all their friends and relatives, and send cards out on time. Each man must also take each child to a doctor's appointment, a dentist appointment and a haircut appointment. He must make one unscheduled and inconvenient visit per child to the Urgent Care. He must also make cookies or cupcakes for a social function. Each man will be responsible for decorating his own assigned house, planting flowers outside and keeping it presentable at all times. The men will only have access to television when the kids are asleep and all chores are done. The men must shave their legs, wear makeup daily, adorn himself with jewelry, wear uncomfortable yet stylish shoes, keep fingernails polished and eyebrows groomed. During one of the six weeks, the men will have to endure severe abdominal cramps, back aches, and have extreme, unexplained mood swings but never once complain or slow down from other duties. They must attend weekly school meetings, church, and find time at least once to spend the afternoon at the park or a similar setting. They will need to read a book and then pray with the children each night and in the morning, feed them, dress them, brush their teeth and comb their hair by 7:00 am. A test will be given at the end of the six weeks, and each father will be required to know all of the following information: each child's birthday, height, weight, shoe size, clothes size and doctor's name. Also the child's weight at birth, length, time of birth, and length of labor, each child's favorite color, middle name, favorite snack, favorite song, favorite drink, favorite toy, biggest fear and what they want to be when they grow up. The kids vote them off the island based on performance. The last man wins only if..he still has enough energy to be intimate with his spouse at a moment's notice. If the last man does win, he can play the game over and over and over again for the next 18-25 years eventually earning the right To be called Mother!

Not one of my brightest moments

Yesterday I had my first prenatal appointment. Also the first look at baby # 2. I am 5 weeks along, my husband and I are the proud parents of a poppy seed...at least that is the current size of the baby....and for such a tiny little thing it causes so many problem like for instance I realized my mind is already shot as today I took my 100Th trip to the bathroom, hung up my book bag as usual, only to turn around and see urinals... it seems that even with looking at the signs I had walked into the men's restroom. Mortified I tried to escape with out notice, but I wasn't that lucky. The girl walking out of the women's restroom which is across the way gave me a judging glare, as though I was up to no good with some one in the men's room. Ohh well I am sure she will understand when she has prego brain.
